Filipe Canto e Castro has been working in advertising for 36 years. He started as a production assistant at RTP (National Portuguese TV) until he reached his current position as Casting Director at the company he founded more than 20 years ago: Quick Casting.
In the meantime and in parallel, he has had three children: Frederico, Mariana, and Xavier, and has planted more than 200 trees across the Mainland and Azores island.
In 2017, he founded a non-profit organization - Associação 1% - to support projects that would empower disadvantaged communities. Among them, the project “Help as you can”, created for the community through children, a circular solidarity project that starts with oneself, to another, and from another to the community.
His connection to nature stems from a childhood spent in the Azores. A bond that remains and nourishes him, as one of his greatest sources of energy and inspiration.
Even while leading a market-leading company (QuickCasting), Filipe embodies, by creative nature and restlessness, the qualities of an Inventor, creator, and gardener. He works daily on designing pieces: Lamps, bookmarks, furniture, and is about to launch his first multisensory exhibition – A perspective on the senses celebrated in the feminine.
